The NHL Awards will be held Wednesday, June 20, at The Joint inside the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, also the 2016 venue.

”Las Vegas has been a tremendous host to the NHL Awards and we are thrilled to be coming back to the city for a ninth time this summer and, for a second time, to the Hard Rock,” Bettman said. ”Our players, coaches and fans look forward to coming to Las Vegas each June to honor the award nominees and winners.”

Additionally, the NHL and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) announced a multi-year partnership extension, making this the 10th year of a partnership between Las Vegas and the NHL Authentic John Franklin-Myers Jersey , and the ninth time the league will honor its hockey players in Las Vegas.

And for the first time since the awards have been held in Las Vegas, local fans may see members of their home team. Golden Knights coach Gerard Gallant is the frontrunner for the Jack Adams Award, honoring the league’s top coach, while general manager George McPhee is a favorite to win the NHL GM of the Year.

”The bond that developed so intensely and so quickly between the team and the city of Las Vegas, I don’t think anybody could have anticipated,” Bettman said. ”We knew it would be successful, but that it happened so fast, maybe it was in the face of the (Oct. 1) tragedy and the team trying to help heal and unify. Maybe it’s the fact that Las Vegas is proud that this franchise has been born here and that its roots will always be here from the beginning.”

Finalists for each award will be announced daily, beginning Tuesday, April 17.

It starts with this: a loss for the Cavs could be the last game James ever plays in a Cleveland uniform.

“The thought of if we don’t play well it will be my last game of the year, that will probably hit my mind, but I haven’t thought about that,” James said Friday, after the Pacers routed the Cavs 121-87 to force Game 7.

James can be a free agent at season’s end. Though he’s never said he intends to leave Cleveland again, at present it appears the Cavs’ roster is in no shape to compete for championships as James heads into the twilight of his career.

James has never lost a first-round series. Dropping one now would not go far to erase any of James’ doubts about the direction of this franchise.

His alleged wingman, Kevin Love, is averaging 11 points in this series and shooting 32.4 percent (22 of 68) in this series. No other Cavs player is averaging double figures.

The Pacers, meanwhile Authentic Jordan Akins Jersey , beat Cleveland three of four in the regular season and scored the most lopsided win in the franchise’s playoff history in Game 6 to force this last game. We understand the conditions we’re playing in, but to say they feel more pressure than us? No. The losers go home. So there’s pressure on both teams.

“We’re not going to be satisfied with just going up there and playing a good game and losing it,” McMillan continued. “We have an opportunity and we’re going to go and try and take advantage of it.”

Former Pacer and current Cavaliers point guard George Hill said he would try to play Sunday. He’s missed the last three games with back spasms. Jose Calderon has started in his place.
